The MagnaDrive coupler provides a separate buffer start. Because the motor does not have to overcome load inertia, it greatly reduces peak current and shortens surge duration.
This buffering start effect can achieve energy savings (see chart) and reduce equipment wear and tear. For many applications, a lower peak current may be advantageous in reducing
power consumption. At the same time, the air gap of the coupler can be adjusted during installation to operate the pump, fan, or blower below the maximum flow rate. According to
the similarity law of centrifuges, a significant energy-saving effect can be achieved.
